Electrifying the depot? Choose the fleet system with us.
You run the vehicles, and now you need software that plans the day around energy. The hard part is picking a fleet system that fits your depot and getting it to work with your chargers, your CSMS or EMS and your grid connection. i4B helps you choose among our partners’ fleet systems, then builds and runs the integration with the energy side — so you buy one working solution, not three systems and a gap.
Four things that change the moment the fleet goes electric
Fuel never constrained the plan. Energy does — and the software you choose decides whether that constraint is managed or merely discovered every morning.
Every vehicle out on time, every morning
Not “charging status green” but “will it have the energy for its block at 05:04” — forecast all night and acted on before it matters.
One screen for the dispatcher
Vehicles, blocks and charging in one place. A charger portal on a second monitor is where late pull-outs come from.
The grid connection is the most expensive decision
Order too little and buses leave short; order too much and you pay for capacity for twenty years. The timetable should decide, with data.
Energy is a cost line per vehicle and route
Tariff windows, grid limits, curtailments and storage all move the bill — and the system should see them, not just the invoice.
You run the operation. We help you choose. Then we connect the fleet system to the energy side.
Two kinds of support in one engagement: a vendor-neutral selection among our partners’ fleet systems, and the integration layer that makes the chosen system work with your chargers, CSMS or EMS and grid connection.
What stays with you
- Vehicles, timetable, drivers, depots
- Contracts with energy supplier and grid operator
- Chargers you own or plan to buy
- The final decision
How we help you choose
- Requirements from your timetable, depots and grid connection
- Shortlist from our partners’ fleet systems — and the honest gaps
- Vendor demos on your data, scored against the checklist
- Contract requirements: APIs, OCPP, data ownership, exit
What we connect
- The chosen fleet system to your chargers (OCPP 1.6 / 2.0.1)
- CSMS or EMS where you have one; a light station layer where you do not
- Grid signals, tariffs, storage and PV into the charging plan
- Roaming for vehicles charging on the road (OCPI / OICP)
We are not a reseller. We earn on the selection work and the integration, not on the licence — which is what lets the recommendation be honest.
One working system for an electric depot — chosen for your operation, connected to your power
The outcome is operational, not architectural: a dispatcher who knows at 04:00 what will leave, and a bill that matches the plan.
A fleet system that fits
Chosen on your timetable and depot layout, scored on the same checklist for every vendor, with the gaps written down before you sign.
Readiness per departure, in that system
Projected energy at departure for every vehicle, recomputed all night; a swap proposed when a pull-out is at risk — for your dispatcher to confirm.
A charging plan under your grid limit
Earliest departure first within the connection you have, the tariff you pay and the curtailments you are asked for. Storage and PV counted where you have them.
Energy that reconciles
kWh per vehicle and route that match the supplier’s invoice — and a basis for the grid-connection decision at the next depot.
- Requirements and shortlistTwo to four weeks on your timetable, depots and grid connection; two or three partner systems scored the same way.
- Vendor demos on your dataScored against the checklist, with the gaps for each written down.
- Pilot on one depotThe chosen system plus our integration, observing before controlling, readiness measured on real departures.
- Integration and supportRolled out depot by depot; the same team supports it in production.
Thirty minutes, one depot in mind, a straight answer.
What changes on the depot floor
This is what we commit to in the pilot, measured on your departures.
Departures on time
Readiness forecast all night and acted on before 04:00, not discovered at the gate.
One system for the dispatcher
Vehicles, blocks and charging in one screen; no charger portal on the second monitor.
Lower energy cost
Charging planned into tariff windows and under the grid limit — paying for energy, not for peaks.
Grid connection sized right
The depot modelled on your timetable before the connection is ordered.
No charger brand lock-in
OCPP as the industry specifies it: certified chargers from any manufacturer, mixed in one depot.
Reports that reconcile
Energy per vehicle and route matches the supplier’s invoice; CDRs for every session.
Grid requests handled
Curtailments become inputs to the plan; departures hold and the flexibility can earn.
A system you own the data in
Open API, data ownership and exit terms written into the contract before you sign.
From requirements to a running depot — in steps you can stop at
Each step ends with a decision you can take or leave. We do not sell the next step before the previous one has proved itself.
Assess
Your timetable, depots, chargers and grid connection; what electrification will ask of the fleet system. Requirements written down with you.
Shortlist
Two or three of our partners’ systems scored against the checklist on your data — and the gaps for each.
Pilot
One depot, the chosen system plus our integration layer, observing before controlling. Readiness measured on real departures.
Connect
The integration rolled out depot by depot: chargers, CSMS or EMS, grid signals, roaming where needed.
Support
The team that built the integration supports it in production and keeps it current as your energy contracts and systems change.
What changes when the fleet system and the energy side work as one
Seen from the depot floor, not from the vendor’s slide.
Why fleet operators choose their system with i4B
i4B has built software for mobility since 2005; our charging software runs in production in 12 EU countries.
We know the systems from the inside
We have integrated the fleet systems we shortlist, so we judge them by how they behave with chargers, not by the brochure.
Charging software in production
Our CSMS, charger firmware and fleet platforms run in 12 EU countries. Open Charge Alliance member.
One team from choice to production
The team that runs the selection builds the integration and supports it afterwards.
For fleets that run a depot and need the software to run it electric
Public transport operators
Electrifying bus depots under a timetable that does not move for the chargers.
Logistics and distribution fleets
Trucks and vans with long-haul and last-mile departures, often from one hub with one grid connection.
Municipal and utility fleets
Mixed vehicles, many sites, procurement rules that need a documented selection.
Coach and truck operators
Who need charging planned around bookings and routes, at the depot and on the road.

Frequently asked questions
Do we have to buy software from you?
No. The fleet system comes from one of our partners — or from a vendor you already prefer, if it has an open API. What you buy from i4B is the selection work and the integration layer that connects the fleet system to your chargers, CSMS or EMS and grid connection.
Are you independent if you work with partners?
We earn on the selection and the integration, not on the licence, and every system is scored on the same checklist with your data. If none fits, we say so — and we have.
We already have chargers and a CSMS. Does that change the choice?
It narrows it. The fleet system has to work with what you have; we check that before shortlisting, and the integration layer connects to your existing CSMS rather than replacing it.
How long does selection take?
Requirements and shortlist in two to four weeks, vendor demos on your data in the following weeks, then a pilot on one depot. You can stop after any step.
Do you install chargers or sell energy?
No. We work with the chargers, CSMS or EMS and grid connection you have or procure, and with any OCPP-certified charger. Hardware and energy supply stay with your installers and suppliers.
Who owns the integration?
You do. The integration layer is implemented for your operation and belongs to your business. Support afterwards is a retainer you choose.
Can we start with one depot?
Yes — that is how we recommend starting. The pilot runs the chosen system and our integration on one depot, observing before controlling, with readiness measured on real departures.
What does the fleet system need to provide?
An open API for vehicles, blocks and departures, and the willingness to show readiness and charging state in its own screens. Our partners do; for other vendors we check before shortlisting.
